| Met a "new to me" local Z owner who needed some work done. He's the original owner of a 1990 TT. Had 48k on it, excellent conditon. Seats still looked new with no creases. Very nice car. He wanted to get the timing belt stuff done as it was still original. He had it at the dealer a few times over the years to do other things in that area including the thermostat. At this point with the low miles it was more about the age of the parts. He bought a 120k Kit and I got to work. As soon as I pulled the drivers side timing belt cover I knew he was lucky he brought it in when he did. Probably even more lucky that he doesnt drive the car much. Not as bad as the one Bernie posts all the time, but it was heading there. 
As I kept going I found the source fo the issue on the passenger side 
As far as I could tell the dealer must have dropped the bolt while they were in there last time. They couldnt find it so they just grabbed anther one and moved along. I found no missing bolts anywhere and there are only a few this size in that area.
Did the rest of the work and got him back together. Grabbed a good passenger side tb cover from my stash as well so that there hole got plugged up. 
He had me replace some other hoses and his tension rod bushings. Car ran great. Always a nice feeling when driving a stock TT compared to my modded white TT, especially the stock suspension. Hope to see him on some of our summer cruises.
